What is solventless rosin?

Solventless rosin, also known as live rosin, is processed using pressure and heat instead of using solvents, meaning without the use of chemicals (examples of solvents commonly used in cannabis extraction are butane and ethanol). At Happy Chance, we want to avoid the use of chemicals to give you a clean extraction and taste.

We take the purity of our cannabis seriously, for the health of our clients and for consideration of our environment. We go as far as to use cannabis that has never been dried or cured, our cannabis is flash frozen right after harvesting, so the flavor and scent profiles of the resulting rosin are as fresh as possible. Live rosin is the purest form of cannabis concentrate on the market.

The medicinal quality of live rosin is higher than other cannabis concentrates due to our natural method of production.

Live rosin is handcrafted in small batches by passionate artisans. It is not mass-produced in a factory. At Happy Chance, we value quality over quantity.

Think of it this way: if you had to choose between orange juice made from fruit fresh from the tree and juice made from dried powder, which would you pick? Fresh just tastes better.

What are cannabinoids?

Cannabinoids are compounds derived from cannabis plants that interact with the body’s endocannabinoid system (ECS). Our endocannabinoid system is a network of receptors and neurotransmitters that regulate a variety of important functions—like our mood, appetite, pain perception, inflammation, and more. The beauty of the rosin that we source is that it has all of the minor cannabinoids present making it wholly full spectrum. In addition to our flower rosin, we utilize these minor cannabinoids for added benefits:

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a non-intoxicating and naturally occurring chemical compound derived from the hemp plant. CBD has a long history of use and multiple studies have shown many health benefits for both mental and physical relief. Some of the benefits of CBD include relief from: Anxiety, depression, chronic pain, inflammation, seizures, insomnia, and addiction.

CBG stands for Cannabigerol. It is often referred to as the “mother cannabinoid” because it is the precursor to other cannabinoids like CBD and THC. In other words, all cannabinoids start as CBG. CBG has anti-inflammatory effects, and shows promise in the treatment of a variety of conditions and ailments. Some potential uses and potential benefits include: Muscle and joint relief, improved mood and relaxation, and improved memory.

Cannabinol, or CBN, is a byproduct of the THC compound found in cannabis plants. CBN acts as a sedative on the body, promoting feelings of calm and relaxation. It has also been reported to have anti-inflammatory properties, which can help with pain relief and healing.

THCV, or tetrahydrocannabivarin, is a compound in cannabis that has shown positive benefits like clear mental state, improved focus, and increased energy. Researchers are also finding that THCV has neuroprotective and anti-inflammatory properties.

What does upcycled mean?

“Upcycling is also known as creative reuse, the process of transforming by-products, waste materials or unwanted products into new materials or products perceived to be of greater quality or environmental value.” We partner with suppliers who are working with local farmers, grocers, and food producers to rescue produce that would normally go to waste and upcycle it back into the food supply chain. Shall we say a happy chance?
